Our National Board of Directors work hard to give JCI members the best experience by creating new partnerships, organising national events, and providing support and leadership for local chapters. Meet our National Board.


Melissa Dabinett

National President
2014 Local President

Melissa was the 2014 Local President of JCI Illawarra and began serving the National Board in 2016.

By day, Melissa works in the quantitative research team of a consumer insight and brand strategy consultancy. But at all times, she is passionate about advancing universal human rights and protecting the environment.

Suzi Chen

International Relations Director
2015 National President | JCI Senator

Initially trained as a medical researcher, Suzi's career path has traversed from hospitals to graphic design followed by project management and company directorship across various sectors. Currently, Suzi manages Notonos Global, a business consulting firm that helps clients solve problems and takes complexity out of business.

Suzi was the Local President of JCI Eastern from 2010 to 2012. She joined the National Board in 2013 and was the National President in 2015. In 2016, Suzi was appointed to the JCI UN and External Affairs Committee and was awarded a JCI Senatorship later that year.


Sarah Lisle

Governance and Finance Director
2016 Local President

Sarah is a stakeholder and program management professional and with over 15 years’ experience in the not-for- profit and government sectors both in Australia and the UK. Sarah brings together a business head and empathic heart, giving her the ability to strike mutual benefit in strategic collaborations and business improvement.

Currently Sarah is a National Director at JCI Australia, responsible for the Governance and Finance portfolio. Along with Immediate Past Local President at JCI Illawarra, mentoring and liaising with the local chapter to ensure a sustainable framework and leadership team.

As a lifelong learner, Sarah graduated the Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA) with the University of Wollongong’s Sydney Business School in 2016 and look forward to future opportunities to have purposeful career.

Rochelle Jeffrey

Growth And Development Director
2016 National President

Rochelle is JCI Australia Immediate Past President and Director of Growth and Development. She also holds an international role with JCI on the UN and External Affairs Committee.

Rochelle is a Director of an educational consultancy, working with educators and school leaders in the area of professional development, leadership skills development and training. She has also had previous roles in education, project management, business development, research and work integrated learning, working with Australia's top Universities and corporations.

Rochelle has a Masters in Management and has been proud to receive 2 Outstanding Commitment to Teaching and Learning Awards.

Among her other achievements is her large family, with her 6 children and her hard working husband.

Sam Gibb

External Engagement Director
2015 Local President

Sam joined JCI in 2014 and since 2016 has served on the board of JCI Australia. As Director of External Engagements, he is responsible for identifying, securing and fostering partnerships between JCI Australia and other organisations.

Previously Sam served as 2015 Local President of JCI Eastern. He has attended three National Conventions and one World Congress held in Kanazawa, Japan.

Outside of JCI, Sam is actively involved in various other non-profit organisations and holds a Bachelor of Mechatronics Engineering from Monash University.
